Book Launch:
Indian Organizations of Malaysia

Mr Manikam Krishnan, EWRF Manager compiled a book entitled “Indian Organizations of Malaysia”. This book was launched by YB Dato Seri S. Samy Vellu on 21 February 2007 at Netaji Hall, Kuala Lumpur. More than 300 NGO leaders, representatives from several foreign embassies and high commissions, MIC Leaders and public attended the function.

This book is the only publication of its kind which covers a range of multifarious activities in the fields of social welfare, community development, educational aids, religion and spirituality, arts language, literature, women’s developmental programmes, sports and martial arts and cooperative societies.

The book also describes sub ethnic groups such as Tamils, Telugus, Malayalees, Punjabis, Gujaratis, Sindhis, Oriyas and Bengalees. 

The details such as background, objectives, activities and membership of 90 organizations have been provided in this book. The objective of this book is to create a database for accessibility, networking and service delivery.

The Executive Director, Ms Subita Nair represented EWRF on behalf of the President, Mr S P Pathi.
