EWRF KAJANG CHARITY FUND RAISER DINNER A SUCCESS - 03/02/2005

The EWRF Kajang Charity Fund Raiser Dinner was held primarily to raise funds for Project RENEW.

The RENEW pilot was launched at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Jalan Bukit with the full cooperation of school authorities for students from remove classes to form 3 classes.

Target Group -  Students from bottom ranked classes and identified by counselors to be "problematic" or "at risk" children

Implementation - This programme is been implemented via workshops, sports and games, extra coaching for academic subjects and positive role modeling on a weekly basis.

Status -Results have been very encouraging. The school has reported a drop in absenteeism and disciplinary problems. The project team is confident of a very high success rate by the end of this year.
