GENEROSITY FROM CARLSBERG - 10/11/2004

As their big sign of support to EWRF, Carlsberg Marketing (M) Sdn. Bhd. has donated RM100,000.00 to the Scholarship and Loan fund. This is part of effort to raise money to lend a helping hand to students who have financial difficulties in their pursuit for higher education.

The Cheque Presentation Ceremony was held on 3rd November 2004 at Carlsberg's Head Office in Shah Alam. EWRF was represented by Y. Bhg. Dato N. Sadasivam, Scholarship & Loan Board Chairman, Past President Mr. S. Jambulingam, Mr. S. K. Samy, Datin Sree Pillay, Mr. K. Karunamoorthy, Mr. Sathish Ramachandran and the Executive Director. The Executive Director reported that she will follow-up on the RM100,000.00 cheque from Carlsberg. She also said that she will explore opportunities with Carlsberg towards jointly organizing a charity event.
